Bienvenido/a a Villaaburrida

Villaaburrida's tourist office has just published its leisure guide for this summer. It's the most complete guide in its history. Also the most useless.

What has Villaaburrida done this year to attract tourists? It has opened a blank-wall museum ("pure contemplation," they say). It has inaugurated a restaurant that only serves water. And it has created a park where phones are banned — though they still haven't explained what you're supposed to do there.

Ana, turista de Barcelona, llegó ayer. "He visitado el museo esta mañana", dice. "Todavía no he entendido si es arte o si olvidaron decorarlo.

Ana, a tourist from Barcelona, arrived yesterday. "I visited the museum this morning," she says. "I still haven't understood if it's art or if they forgot to decorate it. This afternoon I'm going to go to the water restaurant. I already have low expectations."

Carlos, the tourism director, is confident: "Last year nobody visited Villaaburrida. This year we have changed everything. We're going to be the most interesting destination in Spain. Have you already booked your room?"
